Description

Okay. Liz provided some great lineart for the contest for those of us who can't draw, or who would simply rather not take the amount of time to do so. (I fall into the former category. :P) This be a much mpreffered image with the two lovelies together and I'll be askin' her to put this up instead. It'll make it easier on those who would wish to see them. The only thing I absolutely hate about this is the terrible job I did with their eyes. *pouts*
________________

Valour, orphaned just hours after his mother first whispered his name, was quickly taken in by his mother's dearest friend. She had a filly herself, Asha, who was just days old at the time. The two were raised side-by-side. They ate together, played together, and each night would fall asleep with their noses touching. They were friends and, in the eyes of their youth, family. But as they aged, such perception changed. No longer did Valour think of Asha as a beautiful sibling, but as a beautiful mare. Attraction on his part grew until he thought he would burst from keeping it all in. Then one day they were caught out in the rain, as so often these stories go, and he could hold it in no longer. She had turned to look at him, rain drops falling off of dark lashes, and the words came tumbling out. He was struck speechless moments later when she, too, confessed her love for him. They've been together ever since.

________________

Asha is beautiful bay mare with two stockings, a small star, and one gorgeous blue eye. She is gentle and kind. She loves life. The greatest beings in her world are her mate and her children. She has great patience and is ever the optomistic one. She is full of hope for the things of the future.

Asha [pronounced (ash ah)] means Hope.

________________

Valour, though bold and courageous in the face of trials, is seldom serious in life. A jokester, he is constantly wearing a smile and provoking the expression on the faces of those he meets. There is often laughter and mischeif in his dark eyes. He has a heart of gold and is devoted to his family.
